Desde 2006, dirige el Museo de etnografía de Ginebra. Después de una breve descripción de la situación de los museos de etnografía en Suiza, divide su conferencia en cuatro momentos. Empieza por insistir sobre la importancia de situar el lugar desde donde se construye el discurso museográfico, es decir sobre la necesidad de conocer la historia de la institución en la cual se trabaja; lo cual le conduce, en un segundo momento, a establecer el estado de las colecciones del MEN.
